My name is Melinda Pethel and I am a second year doctoral student in the department of Learning, Design, and Technology at the University of Georgia.
I received a B.S. in Psychology from North Georgia College and a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from the University of Georgia.
After receiving my degree, I continued working at AMAC Accessibility Solutions and Research Center (formerly the Alternative Media Access Center) for two years before moving into a position as Instructional Technology Specialist for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at UGA. I enjoy working in an academic environment and consider myself a lifelong learner.
My research interests have evolved to include maximizing student experiences in online learning ecosystems and meaningful learning.
